Handling one billion events daily requires more than raw computing power. In his latest article, Piotr Masko, AI Team Lead at Synerise, explains how our team achieved major efficiency gains without rewriting the architecture.
Description:
Through systematic profiling and benchmarking, optimized Kafka batching, reduced lock contention, and elimination of hidden CPU overhead, the team increased throughput from around 300K to 900K messages per minute. At the same time, CPU usage dropped from 60 to 16 vCPUs.
The result: 10–12x efficiency per vCPU and stable performance during peak traffic periods.
